This is a wonderful pair of vintage “tap pants” (panties / underwear) made by Stanfield’s under their “Novasilk” brand.  Stanfield’s is a vulnerable Canadian manufacturer of underwear, founded in 1870 at the Truro, Nova Scotia Woolen mills.  They close on the side at the waistline with two buttons and have a short elasticized band at the back waist that provides a bit of fit stretch.  I’ve posed them with a DuBarry bra that is dated 1947, being sold separately.

Age: 1940s

Sizing: Size “M” for medium is indicated - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist:  29” around unstretched, 31” fully stretched.

Hips:  40” around, should fit loosely

Length: 19” at the centre

Condition:  These look like they were never used, they are in excellent condition and have been well stored over the years.

This is a wonderful pair of vintage tap pants - nice simple lines, quality fabric and clean look, unusual to find in this type of condition!
